General News

Jessie is a 6 year-old boy who was a part of Quinndale's Junior Blue team in the summer of 2004.

Half way through the season, Jessie was taken ill and went to McMaster Children's hospital where he was diagnosed with leukemia.

His mother Chantel (a single parent) stayed by his side while he underwent chemotherapy. Jessie had a normal reaction to chemo and lost all his hair.

Jessie's soccer coach, "Coach Jeff" said that he would shave his head in honour of Jessie if his team won the championship, which they succeeded in doing.

If anyone is interested in contributing a donation to help support Jessie and his mom in this difficult time, please keep that thought in mind and we will post relevant information when it is available.

Generosity was well evident at the year end Fun Day where we raised $800+ . The family greatly appreciates the consideration and thoughtfulness of those who did contribute.

Thank you.
